About me

I have always been fascinated by human physiology and anatomy, as well as the impact of physical activity on health. My competitive sports background is rooted in track and field and endurance running. As an adult, my interest in the health field grew even stronger, leading me to first study to become a certified massage therapist at the Finnish Sports Massage Institute in 2016 and eventually pursue studies in orthopedic osteopathy in 2018. Orthopedic osteopathy expanded my understanding of musculoskeletal issues, clinical assessments, and rehabilitation. As a complementary course, I have also completed the Dizziness and Vestibular Rehabilitation course. Today, I remain an active and passionate runner, with high goals set for longer distances.

The best at work

The best part of my work is successfully rehabilitating a client’s issue or alleviating their pain. Rehabilitation, pain management, or improving functionality often takes time and effort. That’s why achieving success in long-term rehabilitation while meeting the client’s expectations and wishes is incredibly rewarding. Motivating clients to exercise, stretch, or adopt healthier habits is equally fulfilling.

Future

I aim to continually develop and improve my practice. My goal is to stay updated and expand my academic knowledge by regularly reading literature and research in the field. On my website (www.juoksuosteopaatti.com), I write a blog covering running-related topics, particularly musculoskeletal issues related to running. In the future, I’m interested in attending advanced courses focused on pain management and pursuing a degree in physiotherapy.
