Mikael Kankaro

Hey! I graduated as a sports massage therapist in December 2022 from the Finnish Sports Massage Academy. I have always been a sporty and social person who wants to help others. Sports have always played a big role in my life, as have body care and healthy lifestyles. These interests led me to this field.

I have played several sports, but soccer is the only one that has remained in my life to this day. In addition to football, these days my hobbies also include going to the gym. I try to keep my knowledge of training and injury rehabilitation always up-to-date so that it can be as useful as possible, especially for my clients.

The best thing about my job is definitely getting to know new people and being able to really influence another person's well-being. In my opinion, massage is much more than just massage, and that's why I feel that I always see a person as a whole, including the client's spiritual and psychological side. In this way, we can create the most suitable treatment result with the client, whether it is rehabilitation of an injury or just a relaxing experience.

Future

My goal is to always stay up-to-date with regard to human anatomy, so that my services are as useful as possible for everyone. I've always wanted to be the best in the things I do, and that's why it's great when it comes to motivational development. There is still a long way to go in terms of development, both as a person and as a masseuse, but that's what makes this field interesting. 

In the future, the purpose would be to complete TMD or masticatory muscle training and personal trainer training. Possibly also studying physiotherapy would be interesting in the future.
